The #1 Password Manager service recently announced that they won’t allow free tier users to access the LastPass from different device categories. The only things that made LastPass distinct from other Password managers was the all device sync for free.
You will be able to access your passwords through a single category device from 16 March 2021. If you are looking for alternative then BitWarden is the one you looking for.
If you are coming from LastPass, then you won’t feel any difference here, just color difference (doesn’t matter if you are color blind).
BitWarden is Open Source Password Manager, it uses AES-256 bit encryption, salted hashing and PBKDF2 SHA-256.
If you want to know more about the security standards, read the security audit.
It also provide the main feature that LastPass thought to remove, yes you are right the cross device sync. You can access your passwords from any device anytime and for free.
